Olive Oil and Vinegar Descriptions

 

Basil Olive Oil - This delightful basil olive oil is made by crushing together basil and olives naturally. Fabulous tossed with pasta for instant pesto flavor, for salads with balsamic vinegar, as a sandwich spread or for bread dipping.

Garlic Olive Oil - This olive oil is made by sending garlic through the mill with the olives.

It is great tossed with pasta, on salads, as a sandwich spread, for bread dipping and in marinades.

Blood Orange Natural Flavor Infused Organic Olive Oil - One of our top selling oils year in and year out. While fabulous in traditional uses such as dressings on green salads with fruit or cheese, it is also a great addition to zesty dishes like Paella or grilled meat and rice dishes.

Organic Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil - This extra virgin olive oil has a predominantly nutty flavor with hints of ripe apple, cinnamon and hay. It is a good all purpose organic oil. This oil is certified organic by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), certified extra virgin olive oil by the California Olive Oil Council (COOC) and certified Kosher.

Cask 8 Balsamic Vinegar - This cask-aged balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy, is made from a certified grape must matured using the Solera method of blending, transferring the vinegar between a succession of high quality barrels of different sizes. A several year refinement process in high quality wood results in a rich and assertive condiment with a warm brown color and a thick, fluid consistency. The aroma is penetrating and persistent. With port and madeira undertones and hints of orange and fig flavors, it is a classic balsamic taste.  We call it Cask 8 to give people in the United States a sense of the age of the vinegar. You will be able to taste and feel the difference between an aged vinegar and the cheap substitutes made by adding caramel or other products. Gluten Free. Herbes de Provence Natural Flavor Infused Organic Olive Oil - Our Herbes de Provence Natural Flavor Infused Organic Olive Oil embodies the essence of summertime in the Provence region of southeast France with its timeless blend of thyme, savory, basil, marjoram, lavender, rosemary and fennel seeds. This fragrant herb oil is the best way to liven up any recipe and let your taste buds go on a French vacation. Use to marinate chicken overnight, on roasted potatoes or grilled vegetables to add immense floral, piney and herbaceous flavor to your favorite recipes.  Depending on the dish, this oil pairs well with most of our vinegars.  Made from natural flavors mixed with certified extra virgin olive oil.

Rosemary Natural Flavor Infused Organic Olive Oil - Our Rosemary Natural Flavor Infused Organic Olive Oil is great tossed with pasta, on salads, on lamb or fish, as a sandwich spread, for bread dipping and in marinades. Like the garlic and Italian herb oils, it is a natural for sautéing or as a condiment in savory dishes and avoids having those unpalatable rosemary spines in the dish.  Pairs well with most of our vinegars, depending on the dish.  Made from natural flavors mixed with certified extra virgin olive oil.

Jalapeno Olive Oil - This hot and delicious Jalapeno oil is made naturally by crushing fresh Jalapeno peppers and olives together.  Pairs well with our aged balsamic vinegars.

Blackberry Ginger Balsamic Vinegar - This balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy, is blended with real fruit juice. It has a fruity and gently spicy, complex, bouquet that shines in a multitude of culinary applications. Pour it over pancakes, ice cream or in jelly and vinaigrette. Glazed Onion Balsamic Vinegar - This balsamic mixes the rich sweet flavors of caramelized onions with those of a well aged balsamic making for a fabulous condiment that plays the sweetness of the caramelized onions off the slight sourness of the vinegar. Use it to add a special unusual element to any dish that would be good with caramelized onions from pasta to grilled or braised meats. Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar - This balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy, is blended with real fruit juice. It leaves no doubt as to the fact that it was made with raspberries. Fig Balsamic Vinegar - Concentrated fresh fig fruit was added to balsamic vinegar from Central California.  Gluten Free. No artificial flavorings, thickening agents, caramel nor additives added. May contain sulfites.

Bourbon Balsamic Vinegar - Our bourbon balsamic was suggested to us by one of our employees. She thought that it would be a great glaze on grilled red meats, and she was right about that. This balsamic has all the subtle flavors of a well aged bourbon like strong notes of vanilla, a fruity spiciness and even the subtle effects of aging in charred barrels. When used in cooking, think of it as a great ingredient wherever you might want the vanilla and fruit flavors imparted by bourbon without the overpowering alcohol flavors.  Gluten Free.
